1. Information we collect

Account and profile information

When you create or update an account, we may collect your email address or phone number, username, profile and cover photos, bio, location, education, work, skills, and other information you choose to add to your profile.

Content and communications

We process content you create or share, including messages, My Cruiz posts and comments, stories, reactions, group content, images, videos, voice messages, documents, and other attachments.

Technical and usage information

We may collect device and app information, sign-in and activity records, call metadata, push-notification tokens, crash information, and security signals. ChatCruiz does not intentionally record the audio or video content of your calls.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts; provide messaging, media sharing, calls, notifications, My Cruiz, stories, groups, and learning features; personalize profiles and privacy settings; prevent abuse; respond to reports; troubleshoot problems; and improve ChatCruiz.

3. How information is shared

Your profile and content are shared according to the audience, group, or conversation you select. Public content can be viewed by other users. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, or during a legitimate business transfer.

We use trusted service providers to operate ChatCruiz, including Supabase for account and data services, Firebase and OneSignal for notifications and related app services, and Agora for communication features. These providers process information for us under their own security and privacy obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

4. Your choices and rights

You may update your profile, control visibility and last-seen settings, manage notifications, block or report users, and edit or delete supported content in the app. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account information by contacting us.

Account deletion removes or de-identifies information as applicable, although limited records may be retained where required for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or resolving disputes.

5. Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including protected systems and encrypted network connections. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We retain information only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legitimate legal, safety, and operational requirements.

6. Children's privacy

ChatCruiz is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

7. International processing, changes, and contact

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own where our providers operate, subject to appropriate safeguards. We may update this policy as ChatCruiz changes and will revise the effective date when we do.
